It's hard to believe that it is October already and soon we will be in the holiday season. I have been very busy doing a lot of sewing and I even made a couple Christmas aprons already! I am also busy taking care of my Dad and will soon have a lot more to do with gathering paperwork for him at the nursing home. I have hit many roadblocks trying to get power of attorney, but finally today is the day! It will make things much easier now!
I have several vendor events line up for the rest of the year and one of them is my Open House on the weekend before Thanksgiving. See dates and times below.
Anyone is welcome! Stop in and see my new " Shop" in my house, and have some light refreshments and get some Christmas shopping done a little early! I will also be taking special orders for Christmas that weekend!

I am working on some more messenger bags for Christmas this year. I sold 2 recently to one of the vendors at Purcellville. He bought one for the little girl in the picture. As you can see the strap was so long it came down to her ankles. Later I found her and adjusted the strap as far as it would go so it would be easier for her to carry. I asked her what she had in the bag, and she said " my stuff". I think she had some toys in it. She was so cute, probably around 7 years old.
The small drawstring bags pictures below have suede or faux suede strings, and are great for jewelry, or a child to put small toys or change in it, or you can use as a small gift bag or gift card. I will be making more out of Christmas fabric. They would be great to fill with candy for a gift card to someone for Christmas. Stay tuned!
